Jennifer Harbin is a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in child, adolescent, adult, and couples counseling. Her office is located on Sandy Plains Road in Marietta, Georgia.
Jennifer received her Bachelor of Science Summa Cum Laude in Social Sciences from Mercer University and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University as well. She has specialized training in Marriage and Family Therapy, Play Therapy, Faith-Based Counseling, and Narrative Therapy. Jennifer has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and couples with a variety of concerns such as, behavior problems, past trauma, self-esteem issues, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. Her therapeutic perspective is existential and integrative. She draws a great deal of inspiration from some of the original innovators in therapeutic processes such as Alfred Adler, Virginia Satir, Victor Frankl, and Milton Erickson. She provides support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing. Jennifer respects the individual beliefs of every client, however when appropriate, she brings a Christian perspective into the counseling relationship. She considers it an honor and a privilege to collaboratively work with clients as they discover their own internal strengths and make the choices they want for their lives. Jennifer enjoys teaching and has taught several undergraduate psychology courses. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys gardening and spending time with her two rescue dogs.
